Recipe Box from Kaiser

As soon as I saw this Kaiser recipe box I wanted it, I have so many scraps of paper with food creations that desperately needed organising, this looked perfect for the job.
I painted the box in antique cream paint from Kaiser then covered it in the script paper, again from Kaiser. I mat and layered the top with my nesties and made some matching flowers, the letters are a digital freebie, will post a link if I can trace them.
I think the border die is a Cheery Lynn one which I threaded brown ribbon through. The saying is another free wordart.
Inside I have written out my favorite recipes and laminated them, I knew I would use the laminator one day!

Another area of my life organised.

A close up soyou can see how pretty she is.

Another card in an envie

I am just loving these cards, be prepared for some more.I have kept it quite simple, the paper is my memories I got in a sale and wish I had bought lots more now. The die is a Cheery Lynn one that I have threaded ribbon through, this is my favorite die.
Check out the brads, they started out life as silver and I dipped them in PVA glue then dark red flocking, I think I will be trying that again.

Rainbow card and bag

Don't you just love this rainbow paper, it was a digital freebie from Mel, just gorgeous. I have simply added the flower with a brad in the centre, some ric rack for the stem and cut some leaves by hand to add a greeting, I finaly did a little scrawl around the edge with a black fine liner. I also decorated the bag to match with that awesome digital freebie, all the best people are born in march but I have no idea who it was designed by as there is no name on the file, I will add the details later if I can find them.

magnolia

I have to say I am very pleased with this card, in fact so pleased I don't want to part with it!
The envelope is double sided card stock with ribbon threaded through to close it.
A picture of the card on it's own, the flowers are a Marianne die along with the swirl. The greeting is stamped on a label nestability die cut. I coloured the image with promarkers.
A close up of the cute image, I have added flock and stickes to the flowers.

I stamped the flowers with a background stamp and added stickes.

Birthday Boy

Well I have not blogged for ages but does it matter, does anyone actually read my posts? I think it's just a record for me to remember what cards I have made.

Anyway this card was for my Nephew, I used kaiser backing paper, embossed a strip of pearl brown paper with the swiss dots folder, then added the frame and greeting which are both digital freebies from Summer Driggs, I then added the stars to put his name on the card. A simple card but I kinda liked it.
Now that summer is nearly over I have no excuse I need to become productive with my crafting. I am making things but just not blogging so I have lots of finished items to photograph.

One folder three ways

I have been having a play with my embossing folders. This first card was using  the tulip embossing folder with white pearl card then I stamped the verse in the centre using a See Dee stamp, I then embossed a second sheet and cut out some of the flowers and added them with sticky pads to give some depth. Not happy to leave it at that I stitched little pearl flowers and beads on the flowers. This card looks much prettier in real life.
This second card I used the same folder but used a brilliance pearl ink pad and a brayer to ink up one side of the embossing folder, I added a stamped greeting and again stitched little pearls in the centre.
This last card I inked up the opposite side of the embossing folder and used the debossed side so the flowers are edged in the lilac, again I added a greeting and stitched pearls on them.
I love this folder, I think it will be getting plenty of use, it's avaliable free delivery world wide here

Happy new year

Happy New Year, I have been so busy that I haven't had time to play with all my new stuff! I have cleared my desk and am ready to go just need to decide where to start.  These are a couple of calenders I made as Christmas gifts, I used a kaiser coaster as the base and added the large scalloped nestie on the front and back as the base then I used the Cheery Lynn doily die. The lilac card has paper flowers that I bought but the pink card I made the flowers using the cuttlebug quilling dies.

Stampin up textured impressions flower garden

One folder three ways

On this card I chalked the image to give a soft look, then added a martha stewart punched border, ribbon and an oval nestabilities with stamped greeting.

For this card I used metalic gold rub on, it's like a paste and gives a totaly different effect, it's teamed with a cheery lynn border die

This card is similar to the first but I coloured the embossing folder with inks first, I was aiming for red but it came out much softer and definitely not red.

All three cards are flying to England tonight to be donated to a friend who does coffee mornings for charity, hope they will sell!

Matching gift envelope from freebie paper

As promised (at last) the matching gift pouch using my free paper. I edged it with a martha stewart swirling lace border punch, added a birthday friend greeting and little brad both from Kaiser. I hope my friend likes the card and present, I have bought a die that fits neatly inside.

Holly card

I love this spellbinders set, I am not sure of the name of it as I cut it at a friends house but it's so pretty, I layered it up to give depth, I used a martha stewart punch for the corners, I think that's called swirling lace. I used pine needles distress inks to give the holly a touch of colour then added the gem stones.
