I made these for my mother in law's 80th birthday party, I saw some similar on Pintrest but I wanted mine a bit bigger so worked out the sizes I wanted, after a bit and trail and error!
I started with a piece of kraft card 7 1/8 by 4 inches, I then scored the long side at 7/8 and 3 1/8 then 4 inches and finally 6 1/4 ,the short side was 7/8 then I flipped it round and did 7/8 in from the other side. I then cut out all the corners and the two inside pieces as well. I used the second smallest size circle die which gives a circle of 1 1/4 inches. I then used a bone folder to fold the score lines. I added double sided to tape to the three flaps on the side without the circle and folded it to make the box.I put double sided tape on opposite sides of the sides of the box and added a piece of acetate that was cut to 2 1/4 by 6 3/4 inches, press it on firmly.
I die cut a border and glued it around the bottom of the box to hide the double sided tape
I added a length of raffia, wrapped around twice and tied in a bow.
The final touches, add your chocolate and I needed names so die cut a vintage frame, inked up with distress inks in vintage photo and there you have it a cut little table decoration. I loved making them so much that I might make them again for Christmas to take into work.
