Stampin up textured impressions flower garden

One folder three ways

On this card I chalked the image to give a soft look, then added a martha stewart punched border, ribbon and an oval nestabilities with stamped greeting.

For this card I used metalic gold rub on, it's like a paste and gives a totaly different effect, it's teamed with a cheery lynn border die

This card is similar to the first but I coloured the embossing folder with inks first, I was aiming for red but it came out much softer and definitely not red.

All three cards are flying to England tonight to be donated to a friend who does coffee mornings for charity, hope they will sell!

Matching gift envelope from freebie paper

As promised (at last) the matching gift pouch using my free paper. I edged it with a martha stewart swirling lace border punch, added a birthday friend greeting and little brad both from Kaiser. I hope my friend likes the card and present, I have bought a die that fits neatly inside.

Holly card

I love this spellbinders set, I am not sure of the name of it as I cut it at a friends house but it's so pretty, I layered it up to give depth, I used a martha stewart punch for the corners, I think that's called swirling lace. I used pine needles distress inks to give the holly a touch of colour then added the gem stones.

Quilted handbag card

My friend did a class using this quilted paper style and I thought I could give it a try, it didn't turn out too bad but there are a few things I would do differently next time. I couldn't find any papers I liked so this is a patterned wrapping paper, I cut lots of squares out using my nestabilities small squares then stuck them on to paper and stitched them down using a zig zag stitch, I then cut the shape of the bag and stitched that on to a piece of card and added all the embelishments.

Kaiser Christmas decorations

I made these christmas decorations instead of cards for the special people in my life. I used four kaiser wooden coasters and joined them together with ribbons, covered them in pretty papers and used a nestabilities label set to add frames and the letters NOEL which were cut from boys will be boys die set.
On the reverse of each coaster there is a little rub on kaiser verse and I left one free to write a message. I added flowers from my stash and gem stones.
The boxes were made to match and decoated with a spellbinders fancy tags set.
I will post the other pictures tomorrow.

Flower card using my free paper

I used the paper I created to make this card, I used silver thread to stitch around the hexagons, then I layered a spellbinders die on top (can't remember the set it was from as I borrowed it!) followed by a nestie circle which was stamped in black with a kaiser friend stamp then I added a kaiser brad to the centre. I have made a little gift pouch to match will photograph that tomorrow.

Freebie digital paper

Isn't this paper fab, I made it using some gorgeous papers created by Summer Driggs which you can find here. http://www.summertimedesigns.blogspot.com/  She has given me permission to share it with you. The template I used was from here. These are both very talented ladies. Ok I am all inspired now, should be making christmas cards but off to play some more!

Time for tea

Oh my I am truely in love with this die, it's the Cheery Lynn English tea party DL101. I have inked the edges with worn lipstick distress ink, the images are free digital stamps but I can't remember where I got them, if you recognise them please let me know so I can give credit for them. I have coloured the images with copics and added diamond dust glitter and gem stones.

A great place to shop

It's not often we find a great on line shop, where prices are the cheapest and postage is charged at actual cost, well I have found this site

http://dutchpapercrafts.blogspot.com/

It's run by a lovely lady called Darlene, I placed my order and within a few minutes I had paid and my order was being shipped. She sells the Cheery Lynn dies that I used in my christmas tree video and lots of other things, check her out.

A big thank you to my thirteen year old son Adam who filmed and edited the video for me and without him it would not have been possible.

I was in a rush and needed a wedding card so I managed to make this pretty quickly, don't ya just love embossing folders, this I think was a papermania one, I just added some ribbon, pearls and the nestabilities hearts.

Tent card

I loved this style of card, I think it is a tent card, I used a square card and added an extra piece of card in the bottom, I scored and folded it at inch intervals, it was four inches deep and the same width as the card. I covered the frount and inside of the card with Papermania paper then cut a circle out with my circle nestabilities, then I made a scalloped frame to edge the aperture. Decorated with a butterfly cut on my Craft Robo, flowers cut with Mariane dies and finished with glamour dust glitter and little pearls.

magnolia with ladybug

I love the red and white but found it difficult to colour! I have used a nesty label die and circle die, the border is from martha stewart and the flowers are a few years old from my stash, oh and the florish is a Marianne die.
A close up, she's a real cuty.

Off to get some more crafting done.

Boys cards for a change

A selection of boys cards I have made using  free digital stamps from Becky. I have coloured them with promarkers and mat and layered them. For the red card I have added a rub on border.

For this card I stamped the happy birthday on the surf board and doodled a border

At least now when I get a last minute request for a boys card I will be organised, I think these images are pretty cool for teenage boys, my two have certainly given them the seal of approval!

Kaiser advent calendar

I bought this gorgeous advent calendar from kaiser craft, it's made from wood with little carboard boxes, first of all I painted it with kaiser cream paint then I used five different papers to cover the main box and little boxes, then I added flowers and pearls. The centre has the same paper, with lace edges, a sizzix flower and cuttlebug embossed butterflies and die cut flowers

I spotted this lovely image and backing paper over on Mel's blog, I thought it would be just perfect for my niece who wants to be a fashion designer. I have hand stitched the border and used broken chinadistress ink around the edges, nestability label die, ribbon frommy stash and gem brad from stampin up. Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Foiled butterfly

I had such good fun making this card, I have rolls and rolls of foil that I bought and was not using so I did a bit of research and found that they can be used with a laser printer but I don't have one so I printed off the butterflies (which are from the stampin up digital studio) on my ink jet printer and ran it through a laminator, it did not cover the whole image but gave a nice effect which was difficult to photograph, I did the same technique with the plain black card. The white card was embossed. I have added diamond black stickles to the butterfly. I can't wait to have a play with different colours of stamps and foils, so check back to see what happens.

Dad's birthday

My Dad turns eighty in a couple of weeks so I had a play with some Kaiser products and came up with this card, it's a kaiser scrapbook paper, the border is kaiser fozz felt , the mat and layer is nestabilities label die, I have added metalic rub on's in gold to accent the sails, the brad is again from kaiser and the numbers are cut from a wizard alphabet set. I hope he likes it.

A little note

I have been patiently waiting for the lovely new roses papers to be released by Kaiser, then I spotted this wrapping paper, the photo does not do it justice it is really pretty. I am also having a play with my new cuttlebug quilled daisy kit again. The border is EZ Cut lace 5. The leaves are cut from a die from little claire designs. The corners are provo craft. I have added stickles which has not shown up very well.

Pretty in pink

I treated myself to the cuttlebug daisy quilling flower set and that is what I have used to make the flowers in this card, they are mounted on a doily, the border mat is edged using the martha stewartdoily border punch and the flowers in the corners are cut from another doily. I have also added stickes and pearls.

Happy new year

Some card gift sets I made as christmas presents. All the cards were cut using the Marianne scallop die and the centres were nestabilities. This flower was cut from a sizzix die.

Nestabilities label die and Marianne flower from the scallop set, the card below also uses the florish from this set and the swiss dots embossing folder, the butterflies are cut from an embossing folder.
I made the boxes to match and filled them with matching red Lindt chocolates as well as the cards. The card stock was years old, think I was not keen on parting with it!
