santa dash

Last sunday we got up nice and early in freezing weather to take part in the Liverpool 5K santa dash, there were over 7,000 people all dressed as santa, running to raise money, 2 years ago the race got in the guiness book of records but they lost the title last year and we failed again this year so come and join in next year it was great fun and had a fabulous atmoshere.

Another cracker card

Sorry about the photo on this one but I tried to photo always but could not get a decent picture so had to take it lying down (the card not me! )

I used the snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder for the sides then added a bit of glitz with glamour dust, unfortunately this has not shown up, the centre design is nestabilities with silver mirri card and blue pearl card and sizzix snowflakes, with a couple of gems for added sparkle

my saturday night!

I spent last night making a wolf costume for Andrew for school on monday, he told me on friday he needed one, no problem I thought, its halloween I can buy a warewolf mask, I did the rounds of two towns and none anywhere. I did not have the faintest idea where to start but had a go with some fur and funky foam and this is what I came up with, not too much like a wolf but if he is ever a dog in a play I have that covered too! LOL

Diamond fold card

I saw this fold and could not wait to give it a try, I backed the card with backing papers from one of the artylicious discs, its quite soft and has not shown up too well, I used my nesties to mat and layer then stamped using a selection of purple and lilac inks using my little See D stamps, then I added the butterflies which were from making cards magazine, I added some glamour dust.
Hats off to you jewellery makers as those four little jump rings took me twenty minutes to attach

Teabag folding

I made this card with teabag papers, not really my cup of tea but I thought these were quite pretty papers, they are mounted on cream pearl card and I have dry embossed the corners

An award!

This I thought was my first ever award for my blog, a big thank you to nettie for giving it to me, I had to pass it on to two people without an award but I have found that pretty impossible so I am sending it to people who only have one
Maz and Pol they both are excellent designers as well as fantastic card makers, check out their blogs

stitched cards

I loved making these cards, I have stitched them with ordinary sewing threads in brown on cream card then mat and layered on bronze shimmery card, the patterned card I have had for ages and never used, I loved the vintage look of it. I also had a go at aging the edges of the cream card. I am so pleased with them as I always struggle for ideas for mens cards

Christmas shaker card

This card was made by cutting an appeture with oval nestie then adding swiss dots, the trees are cut out with a cuttlebug die, I added glitter and torn white paper inside to form the snow
