Recipe Box from Kaiser

As soon as I saw this Kaiser recipe box I wanted it, I have so many scraps of paper with food creations that desperately needed organising, this looked perfect for the job.
I painted the box in antique cream paint from Kaiser then covered it in the script paper, again from Kaiser. I mat and layered the top with my nesties and made some matching flowers, the letters are a digital freebie, will post a link if I can trace them.
I think the border die is a Cheery Lynn one which I threaded brown ribbon through. The saying is another free wordart.
Inside I have written out my favorite recipes and laminated them, I knew I would use the laminator one day!

Another area of my life organised.

magnolia

I have to say I am very pleased with this card, in fact so pleased I don't want to part with it!
The envelope is double sided card stock with ribbon threaded through to close it.
A picture of the card on it's own, the flowers are a Marianne die along with the swirl. The greeting is stamped on a label nestability die cut. I coloured the image with promarkers.
A close up of the cute image, I have added flock and stickes to the flowers.

I stamped the flowers with a background stamp and added stickes.

Happy new year

Happy New Year, I have been so busy that I haven't had time to play with all my new stuff! I have cleared my desk and am ready to go just need to decide where to start.  These are a couple of calenders I made as Christmas gifts, I used a kaiser coaster as the base and added the large scalloped nestie on the front and back as the base then I used the Cheery Lynn doily die. The lilac card has paper flowers that I bought but the pink card I made the flowers using the cuttlebug quilling dies.

Stampin up textured impressions flower garden

One folder three ways

On this card I chalked the image to give a soft look, then added a martha stewart punched border, ribbon and an oval nestabilities with stamped greeting.

For this card I used metalic gold rub on, it's like a paste and gives a totaly different effect, it's teamed with a cheery lynn border die

This card is similar to the first but I coloured the embossing folder with inks first, I was aiming for red but it came out much softer and definitely not red.

All three cards are flying to England tonight to be donated to a friend who does coffee mornings for charity, hope they will sell!

Holly card

I love this spellbinders set, I am not sure of the name of it as I cut it at a friends house but it's so pretty, I layered it up to give depth, I used a martha stewart punch for the corners, I think that's called swirling lace. I used pine needles distress inks to give the holly a touch of colour then added the gem stones.

Quilted handbag card

My friend did a class using this quilted paper style and I thought I could give it a try, it didn't turn out too bad but there are a few things I would do differently next time. I couldn't find any papers I liked so this is a patterned wrapping paper, I cut lots of squares out using my nestabilities small squares then stuck them on to paper and stitched them down using a zig zag stitch, I then cut the shape of the bag and stitched that on to a piece of card and added all the embelishments.

Kaiser Christmas decorations

I made these christmas decorations instead of cards for the special people in my life. I used four kaiser wooden coasters and joined them together with ribbons, covered them in pretty papers and used a nestabilities label set to add frames and the letters NOEL which were cut from boys will be boys die set.
On the reverse of each coaster there is a little rub on kaiser verse and I left one free to write a message. I added flowers from my stash and gem stones.
The boxes were made to match and decoated with a spellbinders fancy tags set.
I will post the other pictures tomorrow.

Flower card using my free paper

I used the paper I created to make this card, I used silver thread to stitch around the hexagons, then I layered a spellbinders die on top (can't remember the set it was from as I borrowed it!) followed by a nestie circle which was stamped in black with a kaiser friend stamp then I added a kaiser brad to the centre. I have made a little gift pouch to match will photograph that tomorrow.

Golden Wedding

For this card I used the gorgeous Marianne embossing and cutting folder DS0908, I cut it in pearl card and mounted it on gold mirri card, added a piece of ribbon, the die cuts are spellbinders nestabilities scaloped hearts and a ribbon tag. I think this folder will be getting a lot of use.

Tent card

I loved this style of card, I think it is a tent card, I used a square card and added an extra piece of card in the bottom, I scored and folded it at inch intervals, it was four inches deep and the same width as the card. I covered the frount and inside of the card with Papermania paper then cut a circle out with my circle nestabilities, then I made a scalloped frame to edge the aperture. Decorated with a butterfly cut on my Craft Robo, flowers cut with Mariane dies and finished with glamour dust glitter and little pearls.

magnolia with ladybug

I love the red and white but found it difficult to colour! I have used a nesty label die and circle die, the border is from martha stewart and the flowers are a few years old from my stash, oh and the florish is a Marianne die.
A close up, she's a real cuty.

Off to get some more crafting done.

Blue for a change

I spotted this lovely image and backing paper over on Mel's blog, I thought it would be just perfect for my niece who wants to be a fashion designer. I have hand stitched the border and used broken chinadistress ink around the edges, nestability label die, ribbon frommy stash and gem brad from stampin up. Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Foiled butterfly

I had such good fun making this card, I have rolls and rolls of foil that I bought and was not using so I did a bit of research and found that they can be used with a laser printer but I don't have one so I printed off the butterflies (which are from the stampin up digital studio) on my ink jet printer and ran it through a laminator, it did not cover the whole image but gave a nice effect which was difficult to photograph, I did the same technique with the plain black card. The white card was embossed. I have added diamond black stickles to the butterfly. I can't wait to have a play with different colours of stamps and foils, so check back to see what happens.

Dad's birthday

My Dad turns eighty in a couple of weeks so I had a play with some Kaiser products and came up with this card, it's a kaiser scrapbook paper, the border is kaiser fozz felt , the mat and layer is nestabilities label die, I have added metalic rub on's in gold to accent the sails, the brad is again from kaiser and the numbers are cut from a wizard alphabet set. I hope he likes it.

A little note

I have been patiently waiting for the lovely new roses papers to be released by Kaiser, then I spotted this wrapping paper, the photo does not do it justice it is really pretty. I am also having a play with my new cuttlebug quilled daisy kit again. The border is EZ Cut lace 5. The leaves are cut from a die from little claire designs. The corners are provo craft. I have added stickles which has not shown up very well.
